WELCOME TO RESTAURANT PINE
Restaurant Pine is the debut restaurant of Northumberland
born Cal Byerley, and partner Siân Buchan. A culinary
experience in an intimate setting amongst the rolling
Northumberland landscape alongside Hadrians Wall.
We are thrilled to have worked on the letting of the property
that houses Restaurant Pine at Vallum Farm; a mixed-use
development within an old farm steading near Matfen, and
only a short distance from Newcastle. The development has
a range of business spaces including offices, workshops, an
onsite café, wedding venue, and now a fantastic restaurant.
The development has become a community for local
businesses, retailers and hospitality, and we couldn’t be
prouder to be part of it.
Dining at Restaurant Pine
During the day, Restaurant Pine offers a classic three-tiered
afternoon tea with a refined, modern approach. In the
evening, enjoy their generous tasting menu using ingredients
foraged from the Northumberland countryside, or grown
within their onsite kitchen garden. Cal and Siân aimed to
reflect their surroundings and keep a warm, inviting, country
feel throughout.
Immerse yourself into their generous tasting menu in front
of the open, and bespoke, kitchen where you can discover the
22
passion that goes into creating each element of your meal.
Add to your experience by enjoying their wine flight, carefully
designed by experienced Head Sommelier, Vanessa Stoltz.
With an onsite kitchen garden, and a focus on local, seasonal
ingredients, the menu at Restaurant Pine changes on a daily
basis. The team source most of their ingredients from their
kitchen garden and foraging the Northumberland landscape;
it’s what drives the passion at Restaurant Pine to deliver
excellence.
Whilst at the time of writing, we are heading into another
lockdown; we highly recommend that you book a table for
the near future. In the meantime, why not bring a little bit
of luxury into your time at home and order an afternoon tea
with a twist. For more information about this service from
