pros who make the most of convenient travel to
America, China and Europe, while enjoying a
superb winter climate for off-season practice.
Dubai is also a handy-stop off for tourists enroute to more distant destinations, with duty-free
bargains in vast shopping malls and overnight
stays in luxury hotels providing a perfect way to
break up a 24-hour flight.
While Dubai is hugely popular with tour players,
there’s no shortage of amateurs looking to
sample the pro experience for themselves, and
definitely no shortage of places to do it. Old
favourites like the Majilis and Wadi courses
at the Emirates Golf Club, which celebrated
its 30th anniversary this year, will always be
preferred due to the innovative design and links

base themselves in Dubai and make the short
drive—or even shorter helicopter ride—to play
these superb courses.
