LCAP Highlights
A brief overview of the LCAP, including any key features that should be emphasized.
The 2021-2024 LCAP describes the services and support for students and families over the next three years with six goals.
Goal One ensures student access to fully credential teachers, highly trained paraeducators and school staff who are skilled at addressing
learning deficits and capable of creating the conditions for students with challenging needs to succeed, academically and socio-emotionally,
in a safe, clean and maintained learning environment.
Goal Two provides student engagement in a culturally responsive environment that allows students to meet or exceed standards in Englishlanguage arts, math, and science. To create this environment teachers will receive professional learning in content areas, Ethnic studies,
culturally responsive instructional practices, and data analysis. Teachers will receive support from a coach and supplemental resources will
be provided for low income students and English learners.
Goal Three provides English learners with specific programs and services to guide students to English proficiency with teacher professional
learning of the English Learner Roadmap, data analysis to guide instruction, English Language Program Designees to evaluate programs,
coaching support for teachers of English learners, specialized training for support staff, a designated academic counselor for high school
English learners, and a Language Excels summer program.
Goal Four ensures that all students graduate in four years college and career ready with support through rigorous summer school programs
in elementary, middle and high school, opportunities for math acceleration, Advanced Placement course support, SAT/ACT Prep, AVID
programs in elementary, middle, and high school, dual enrollment in college courses, and tutoring support for early college and dual
enrollment students. Additionally, students will have access to technology and devices, specialized programs (e.g. Teen Parent and
Opportunity Class), Career Technical Education pathways, Spanish Dual Immersion beginning in kindergarten, and support and intervention
for extended learning opportunities.
Goal Five will provide a multi-tiered system of support to provide foster youth, homeless youth, and low income students access to resources
and social emotional support to attend school and be meaningfully engaged in learning with the support of the Coordinator of Pupil Support
Services and Attendance, and a teacher to focus on social emotional learning and positive behavioral interventions, and data collection with
the California Healthy Kids Survey.
Goal Six provides a welcoming school environment for families of English learners and low income students to increase parent and family
engagement and involvement in decision making at their schools.
