In the area of attendance, the pandemic surge of January 2022 caused attendance rates to decline. However, teachers used google
classroom to keep students engaged during extended absences. An additional counselor was assigned to the ABC Secondary School to
provide additional outreach efforts to keep students engaged when attendance was low. Additional mental health support specialist was also
added with virtual office hours to provide a comprehensive engagement approach that supports academics and social-emotional well-being.
The instructional technology department in collaboration with the Academic Services provides training and technology programs such as
GoGuardian, GoFormative, Edulastic, and Peardeck to help with online student engagement and monitoring. Teachers were provided with
training in these technology tools to increase student participation in independent studies programs.
Furthermore, a student voice forum was held in order to gather student input. This information will help inform programs such as summer
school and additional Fall of 2022 initiatives.
Monitoring and Evaluating Effectiveness

Weekly CSI joint collaboratives between the District and site teams ABC Secondary Schools were scheduled to continue the cycle of data
analysis. However, the pandemic surge and lack of substitutes disrupted the meeting calendar and the involvement of teachers in these
meetings. The weekly joint meetings were held to review data regarding student attendance, grades, enrollment, and credit deficiencies.
During these meetings, district staff provided comprehensive data toward the goal of increasing graduation rates. Included in the data was
information on parent-student conferences and a multitiered system of support approach. CSI stakeholder teams used this data to evaluate
the extent to which various strategies were effective at mitigating barriers hindering students from graduating in four years. A Student Voice
Forum was held to gather input on various LCAP initiative programs and their perceived effectiveness by students.
