Coaching Support for
New Teachers of ELs
and/or Low Income
Description
Mentor teachers provide support and guidance for new and
experienced general/special education teachers who are assigned to
teach English learners and low income students. Teachers new to the
profession or in need of additional support, work directly with
experienced teachers who provide coaching support in SEL, data
analysis, standards-based lesson design, and instructional strategies
specific to ELs and low income students' needs. New teachers'
support is intended to improve first-hand instruction in order for
students to achieve language acquisition and standard mastery.

Elementary Teachers Additional elementary teachers are assigned to small instructional
