A description of how and when the LEA engaged its educational partners on the use of one-time federal funds received that are intended to
support recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and the impacts of distance learning on pupils.
Educational partners were informed that the ABC Unified School District had received one-time federal and state funds for the 2021-22 school
year, and the specific requirements for each funding source. Families, students, permanent employees, Board appointed and District
committees, and community members were provided the opportunity to complete a Likert Scale survey, and to write in any additional
recommended actions/services for the use of these funds. Educational partners who engaged in the decision making process helped to inform
the District on the use of these funds. Their recommendations were consistent with one-time or short-term expenditures that aligned to the
intended use of the Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief Fund. The funds were allocated to support actions and services in
the following areas: (a) academic - instructional loss; (b) social-emotional and mental health needs; and (c) school safety.
