Improving Quality of Life
Antimicrobial Coatings
Over the course of the last two years, antimicrobial
coatings have played an instrumental role in keeping
our world clean and safe. Such biocidal coatings have
antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties that
have the capacity to kill microbes, including bacteria,
viruses, molds, and fungi.
Demand for antimicrobial coatings has been
increasing drastically over the last few years,
particularly in the medical and healthcare sectors.
In addition, with growing concern over indoor air
quality, antimicrobial coatings to protect high-quality
air-purification systems and other HVAC solutions are
in demand. Increased awareness to the benefits of
these coatings will continue to provide opportunities
for growth in the paints and coatings industry.
