Gardens at Newbury Court
Thanks to a generous donation from a New
England Deaconess board member, the Gardens
community at Newbury Court purchased IN2L
technology. This is an interactive tool that
allows the residents to engage in many activities
individually or as a group. The system operates
on a 54-inch TV that operates like a tablet that
can be rolled around the Gardens to utilize
different spaces. IN2L includes trivia, music,
concerts, poetry, history of sports and art,
virtual traveling, and so much more. As Michael
Croteau, Activities Director at the Gardens,
expressed, “I have no doubt this technology will
have a tremendous impact on the daily lives of
the residents.”

Since most residents enjoy the music of Glenn Miller,
we first livestream an old Glenn Miller concert.
Either between songs or at the end, we are able
to incorporate trivia that is relevant to the program.
