On November 18 President and CEO Chris Sintros
welcomed William (Bill) Warren, Ellie Siegel, Robert
Warren, and Sally Mazur
back to Rivercrest to unveil
the plaque that was placed
in honor of William and
Robert’s parents, Bill and
Caroline Warren.
Caroline spent her final
days in Rivercrest, and Bill
wanted future residents
to have better
accommodations. Bill’s
Newbury Court apartment
overlooked Rivercrest, and
before he passed away in
2016, he shared his vision
for improving our skilled nursing neighborhood. Bill
sketched out a plan on a napkin for an addition to
Rivercrest and gave the napkin to Deaconess’s CEO. Bill
then donated $100,000 for the project, Deaconess’s
first-ever six-figure gift.
After the unveiling, Bill
commented, “It was
wonderful — astounding
actually! — to see
the transformation at
Rivercrest. The vision
for elder care that our
Dad, Chris, and the staff
worked on together over
years was really brought
to life. We deeply
appreciate the labors
and contributions of
so many on this project,
and look forward to future developments!”
Smiling under their masks while the plaque was unveiled.
