.
Story of God’s Love
Hold up a Bible. Who can tell me what this is?
(A Bible.)
Did you know that the Bible is a wonderful book that tells us the
story of God’s love? The story of God’s love is written to each of us!
Do you know who told the story of God’s love in the Bible?
(God himself tells us the story of his love.)
God wrote the story of his love in the Bible so that we will know how
much he loves us and that he wants to take care of us.

The Bible is God’s Word. That means that everything in the Bible
comes from God.
Since everything in the Bible comes from God, that means that the
Bible is very sacred or holy.

Review Chapter 1, Lesson 3
Does God have a plan for your life?
(Yes.)
Where do we learn about God’s plan?
(In the Bible.)
Why do we need to follow God’s plan?
(So that we can be happy here on earth and one day with God
forever in Heaven.)
10 Unit 1
How do you think that we should handle a Bible?
(Very carefully and with respect.)
When we treat a holy object like a Bible carefully and with
respect, we say that we treat it with reverence.
Can you say that word, reverence? Repeat it after me,
reverence. When we treat holy things with reverence, we show our
love and respect for God.
Can you think of another time we were reverent this week?
(When we folded our hands and bowed our heads to pray.)
The Bible tells us how much God wants us to be happy and to
love him now and in Heaven one day.
This week we have already heard part of the story of God’s love.
What parts of the story of God’s love in the Bible do you remember?
(Answers will vary. Help the students to remember that God created
us out of love and that he loves us very much.)
The story of God’s love is not only something you read in the
Bible. It is also the story of God’s love for you.
Each one of us is part of the story of God’s love. The Bible tells us
God’s plan for us to be happy.
There are many stories in the Bible.
Has anyone ever read any Bible stories to you? Which ones?
(Answers may include Noah, Moses, Jesus, etc..)
