Industrial Maintenance
Mechanic Apprenticeship
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
(IMM) Apprenticeship is a 3-year
training program for those currently
working toward a Journeyman’s
license. Students take courses to
advance skills in power generation,
motor controls, mechanical system
maintenance, cutting, gaskets,
packing, pumps drivers and valves
and other skills required to install,
repair and maintain and troubleshoot
commercial machinery.
Course Series Requirements
• Attend an information/orientation
session
• Ages 18 and over
• Pass a drug screening test
• Math & Reading Assessment
(No minimum score)
Course Sequence
• Construction Core (72 hours)
• Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Level 1
• Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Level 2
Industry Certification
Successful completers who wish
to pursue a registered apprenticeship
as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
(IMM) will be invited to interview with
apprenticeship employer partners for
the opportunity to be hired as a full time
IMM apprentice while completing their
apprenticeship instruction at BCCC.
