Personal Process Guidelines
ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY COURSE
1.
(To be completed by all students prior to Year 3 registration)
At Class 1, students are given a form which they
must complete and sign verifying each of their
sessions. This form is required for admittance to
Resident Training Classes 2, 3, and 5. Students
may begin fulfilling their Personal Process
requirement in July.
2.
Students are responsible for getting verification of
their sessions from their Personal Process provider.
Students should keep all verification on file so that
it is available in case it is requested by the School.
3.
A two-hour session only counts as one session,
because we believe students need at least two
sessions per month, regardless of whether they are
one or two hours long. However, we understand
that rare circumstances may exist where
exceptions need to be made. Students must
request and state the reason for the exception at
least two weeks prior to the date when one twohour session is to be counted as two sessions. All
requests are to be mailed or faxed to the Small
Class Teachers. Emergency requests are to be
made as soon as possible.
Exceptions are granted on a case-by-case basis
according to the true need of the student. Each
case is to be presented separately. Exceptions will
not be granted if the student waits until the
Personal Process requirements are due.
4.
5.
In order to keep therapeutic relationships clear
and supportive, students cannot be engaged in
a bartering, sexual, or romantic relationship with
their Personal Process provider. Therefore, no
credit is given for Personal Process requirements
in these situations.
All sessions must be individual and in person
with the exception of some long-distance Brennan
Integration Work.
A comprehensive study of Anatomy and Physiology
is an essential requirement for students as they progress
through the BBSH curriculum. Studying Anatomy and
Physiology enhances the student’s skills as a Healing
Science Practitioner by strengthening the student’s
accuracy and confirmation of his/her High Sense
Perception, and provides technical knowledge that will
be used in conjunction with Brennan Healing Science
techniques.
Students may complete their A&P requirement
through the following options:
1.
Completing the Anatomy & Physiology for Healers
Program.
2.
Request transfer credit for completion of an A&P
course from an accredited college or university
that offers degrees. The course must meet for a
minimum of 80 hours. Some colleges and
universities offer an A&P course that meets 80–100
hours, but does not cover the entire human body
as required by BBSH. The following systems of the
body must be included in the curriculum:
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
Skeletal
Muscular
Cardiovascular
Respiratory
Digestive
Endocrine
Nervous
Urinary
Immune
Reproductive
Evidence of A&P course completion:
Evidence of having successfully completed an
approved A&P course must be submitted by the student
to the Student Affairs office in order for the student to
register for Year 3. Students may not apply for Year 3
until such evidence is received. If evidence of course
completion is received after the Year 3 registration
deadline (usually in July), the student will be obligated
to pay the late registration fee. We therefore encourage
students to fulfill their A&P requirement before Resident
Training Class 5 in May of Year 2. A copy of your
college course transcript should be sent to the Student
Affairs office to request course transfer approval.
