Ole Bull State Park
POTTER COUNTY
OLE BULL STATE PARK
Named for famed Norwegian violinist, Ole
Bornemann Bull, who attempted to colonize this
area, Ole Bull State Park is a 137-acre jewel in the
middle of “God’s Country.” Kettle Creek runs through
the park which gives plenty of fishing opportunities.
The campgrounds are in two loops for a total of 78
sites. Campground 2 is the pet-friendly loop and is
open year-round. Both loops have modern shower
facilities. A large modern cabin that sleeps up to 12
is open for reservations year-round. The beach is in
Campground 1 and is open from Memorial Day to
Labor Day.
There are several family-friendly trails, environmental
education programs in the summer, and a large day
use area with four pavilions. The park serves as a
trailhead for the Susquehannock Trail System, as
well as for snowmobile trail access. Wildlife watching
opportunities abound. The park is surrounded by the
Susquehannock State Forest.
