Momma
As you lay there and I hold your hand
The angels came down to escort you to the promised land
So many memories of good times raced through my mind
I know a love such as this I will never again find
For there is no greater love of another
Then the love of child and their mother
All the sacrifices and things you did for me
Hoping and praying for only the best to be
The times you helped me learn to ride a bike
And the meals you fixed making sure something I like
You kept me in clean clothes and well dressed.
So, on Sundays in Church, I would look my best
You would scrub the clay mud from my jeans or shirts
And would always give me a kiss
