million in private support for faculty.
FACULTY ENDOWMENT MATCH DETAILS:
•
All gifts to endow faculty positions funds of $100K or more
to support instructors or assistant/associate/full professors
are eligible for the match. Commitments may support existing
endowed positions or create new ones. (See chart on the next
page for minimum funding levels.) Endowments for professional
faculty, staff positions, and athletic coaching positions are not
eligible for the match.
•
From July 1 through December 31, 2023, all colleges and
schools are eligible for at least one match as long as matching
funds remain available. After January 1, 2024, matching funds
will be allotted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
•
The Provost, Vice President of Research, and Vice President
of University Advancement will review endowed positions
proposed for matching funds to ensure alignment with Boise
State’s strategic goals as articulated in The Blueprint for
Success.
•
While matching funds provided by the program are traditionally
used to benefit the endowed position, these expendable funds
may also be used at the dean’s/director’s discretion to advance
Boise State’s strategic priorities.
•
It should not be possible for a single mega-gift to deplete all
matching funds.
•
With the possible exception of term or lead trusts, planned gifts
are not eligible for the Endowed Faculty Match.
