Special Occasion Yoga
The Nature of Sound
The moon and its phases are extremely important to
Jamaicans and impact the way harvests and farming
decisions are made. The moon is also a source of
spiritual importance and is thought to influence the
way our bodies experience emotions and the way our
personality develops. As it relates to yoga, the moon
is said to be connected to the emotional and sensory
mind or “manas”. On these special occasions, we host
yoga sessions for our guests to experience the deep
connection between mother earth and our bodies.
Full Moon | Equinox | Solstice
This exploration of the basic concepts of sound,
music, and mantras helps to discover how we are all
connected to, and collections of, vibrations and energy.
This workshop is a primal experience that will help you
tap into the nature of sound and the power it can have
in your life. This is a group-setting workshop, but all
levels of comfort are respected and welcome.

Permaculture Basics
Jamaica is an island rich with lush plant life and
vegetation. Our on-site gardens offer a beautiful
backdrop to educate guests about the organic and
integrated systems of permaculture that allow the
gardens to exist within a sustainable and naturally
flourishing ecosystem. Through guided garden tours,
guests learn about historical agricultural methods that
allow for a synergistic relationship between the plants
and their arrangements, insects, animals, lunar phases,
sun exposure, and more that offers a lasting resilience.

Drum Circles
In Jamaica, a drum circle is a respected sacred practice
intended to cleanse and heal. In this breathtaking
experience, the group is lead by a local community
member to play as one, learning the importance of
rhythms and beats. This communal experience is
exhilarating, transformative, educational, and fun.
Journaling
The journey of healing requires moments of selfreflection. In this workshop, participants are guided
through the practice of journaling to re-discover parts
of oneself that may have become buried beneath
years of stress, trauma, or hardship. This exercise
of contemplative introspection often leads to great
realizations and clarity and can help to shed old or
unhealthy thought patterns.
Art Therapy
There is a special kind of healing that takes place
through the creation of art. In this exploratory
workshop, guests can choose to paint on stones or
driftwood found while walking the beach, on paper or
canvas, or even themselves. We’ve found that people
of all ages thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to express
themselves through paint. Learn through guidance
how to paint mandalas, Sanskrit symbols, or paint
without rules — there are no wrong answers. Bring your
art home, or leave it on the beach to return to source.
