PLANNING YOUR STAY
Arrivals +
transportation.
We are happy to arrange airport transfers for
you and your group. The recommended port
of arrival is Sangster’s International in Montego
Bay Jamaica, (MBJ).
Upon Arrival to Montego Bay
Here is what you can expect when you arrive
in Jamaica. Making your way through at the
airport is a two-part process.
1. Immigration. When you arrive, you will
be guided through immigration. Once
you have made your way through you will
then head to the customs hall to get your
checked bags. When you have bags safely
in hand, you will go to the 2 or 3 lanes at
the far end of the hall to the “nothing to
declare” lines.
2. Customs. When you’ve made your way
through customs, you will clear the first set
of doors into the reception hall. If you’d
like a luggage cart, a skycap can assist you
for $1/bag. They will transport the bags to
the curb to your transportation. If you do
not require assistance, you will leave the
reception room to the outside reception
area. This is where you will be met by your
complimentary driver from Coral Cove.
Meeting your Driver
A driver who will chauffeur you from the
airport to Coral Cove. Their knowledge of the
route and details about Jamaica’s unique and
interesting features make the trip much like a
private guided tour for guests to enjoy.
To meet your driver, you’ll go to the outside
reception area and look off to the right. Your
driver will be holding a “Welcome to Coral
Cove” sign. On a busy day, there will be at least
a couple hundred people in this area. Head
towards the Groovy Grouper Bar located on an
elevated deck off to the right, your driver will
be in this general location. Once you’ve met
your driver, you can relax and enjoy the ride.
You are in great hands!
Forget Something?
In the swirl of starting your trip, you may have
forgotten to pack something. Montego Bay has
large one-stop stores that will likely have what
you need. Be sure to stop before you’re on your
way.
The Ride into Coral Cove
This adventurous and winding ride has
magnificent views and at times can be rugged.
Rest assured, our drivers have dawned these
roads many times, and are the best drivers to
get you to your destination safely.
At about the halfway point of the drive, we
highly recommend a stop at Border Jerk for a
cold beverage and an introduction to authentic
Jamaican Jerk cooking. Chicken and pork are
grilled on an open pimento wood rack and
served alongside homemade festival — a
fried bread dish. It’s a delicious opportunity to
experience authentic Jamaica at its finest!
