2. Whales & Wildlife Cruise,
Icy Strait Point.
Your spacious and stable double-decker catamaran
will carry you towards the point Adolphus area,
one of Alaska’s premier whale-watching sites.
Watch out also for sea lions, harbor seals and bald
eagles, while enjoying spectacular views of the
Alaska coastline.
3. Mendenhall Glacier Explorer,
Juneau.
Mendenhall Glacier is one of the most beautiful
and accessible glaciers in North America. Follow
trails around beautiful Tongass National Forest,
including scenic Photo Point Trail, a walk to the
base of captivating Nugget Creek Falls and entry
to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center.
4. Sea Otter & Wildlife Quest, Sitka.
Cruise through Sitka Sound, home to the greatest
variety of wildlife in southeast Alaska, as a naturalist
on board explains the workings of this beautiful
ecosystem. Encounter otters, whales, sea lions,
porpoises and harbor seals; scan the shore for
brown bears and blacktail deer, and look for bald
eagles overhead.
5. Cruise & Conservation Center,
Anchorage.
Take a scenic drive along the Seward Highway to
Portage Glacier, part of the Chugach National
Forest, then an unforgettable one-hour cruise
across iceberg-dotted Portage Lake. Stand just
300 yards from a relic of the Ice Age and stop at
the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center to view
wildlife up close.
