MOBILITY
PUBLIC EMPOWERMENT
MOB I LITY AS A S ERVI C E
CROW D -S O URCE D IN F O R M AT IO N
Existing mobility includes shared cars, bikes,
electric scooters, taxis, rental cars, buses, and rail
systems. If enhanced by unified data collection,
mobility services could be tracked and promoted
across Denver South to decrease the need for car
ownership, create independent fleets, and make
better use of existing capabilities.
Smartphones can provide real-time reporting
on traffic, road conditions, Wi-Fi and cellular
coverage, and other shared resources to
a database in the cloud. Extending beyond
machine-recognized inputs, this allows more
widespread data collection without the need for
additional sensors.

CIV IC DATA WA R E H O US E S
Mass transit systems can incorporate
smartphone applications to measure commuter
demand and calculate the most efficient route in
real-time. This will reduce operations expenses
and move more people faster.
Through a central hub of data displays from
multiple sources, understood data provides
a quantifiable, easy to digest resource
for policymakers to use in reports and
presentations. Support and space to analyze data
objectively in real-time and historical comparison
accompanied by cross-dataset querying.
OPEN PAYMENT SYS TEM
Incorporating a single, unified payment system in
Denver South for both public and private mobility
services bundles all transit options as one, and
can integrate trip planning and data tracking.
DATA-DRI VEN D EC I S I O N M A KI NG
Leveraging technology like ITS and origin and
destination data to understand and improve
