Another wonderful community to explore is the riverside
town of Nenana, located halfway between Fairbanks and
Denali National Park. Home of the “Nenana Ice Classic” ,
Nenana served as an important railroad and river hub for
the exploration and development of Interior Alaska, and will
celebrate the railroad centennial this year! Today, this is a
great stop to stretch your legs with a riverside stroll, catch a
meal or enjoy souvenir shopping on your way to or from the
