DIRECTOR’S NOTES
When I was 昀椀rst presented with this script, I
really enjoyed the range of pieces. It’s not
o昀琀en you 昀椀nd a vigne琀琀e show that has a scene
about a conspiracy theorist right before seeing
a new recruit in Vietnam, followed by a trip to
Woodstock. It’s fun, silly, sad, serious, and a
li琀琀le bit strange. But isn’t that life? This piece
also speaks to societal issues we’re s}ll dealing
with 55 years later. Theater is at its best when
we see a slice of real life, and this produc}on
showcases just that.
Of course, this script would just be words on
paper without my talented cast and crew. They
took on the challenge of traveling back to
1969, and they knocked it out of the park.
From the colors to the music, the costumes,
props, and more, every piece has been chosen,
designed, and executed with precision and
care.
I hope when you leave here tonight, you feel a
li琀琀le more togetherness of community, a li琀琀le
more love in your heart, and a li琀琀le more
groove in your soul.
