Educating business angels
& supporting cross-border
operations
“When establishing
the Angel Academy,
we wanted to create
a training set where
more experienced
angels and partner
organizations coach
investors and newcomers and get to
network at the same
time.”
Excursions abroad were carried on to make FiBAN better known in the world and to make the world “closer to
our members”.
Anna-Kaarina Lipsanen, Vice Chair of the Board
“The years of rapid
development and
growth are now
behind, as we have
taken our solid place
in the ecosystem. The
qualitative development will of course
never end and FiBAN
will always be a ‘startup’. ”
In the spring of 2015, FiBAN and Rastor launched the
Angel Academy education program, aiming to provide
FiBAN’s members deeper know-how on angel investing
and thereby support successful investments. The first
year of the academy was a success and there was a lot
of interest in continuing it.
International cooperation was also a prominent theme
in 2015. FiBAN took part in building a common Nordic
marketplace - NordicBAN business angel organization.
FiBAN members did cross-border investments and FiBAN supported portfolio companies to get international
investments.
