CHEF NANCY SILVERTON
Nancy Silverton is a James Beard Award-winning
celebrity chef and the co-owner of Pizzeria
Mozza, Osteria Mozza, Mozza2Go, chi SPACCA,
and her recently opened Italian-inspired
steakhouse, The Barish. Silverton also founded
the world-famous La Brea Bakery as well as the
Campanile Restaurant.
Nancy has been listed as one of the Most Innovative Women in Food and
Drink by both Fortune and Food and Wine Magazines. She has worked
with notable chefs such as Jonathan Wasman at Michael’s Restaurant
and Wolfgang Puck at Spago. Nancy has also mentored many people
who have become award-winning chefs and restaurant owners.
She has authored eight cookbooks—Desserts (1986), Breads from
the La Brea Bakery (1996), Pastries from the La Brea Bakery (2000),
Nancy Silverton’s Sandwich Book (2005), Twist of the Wrist (2007) and
the Mozza Cookbook (2011). Nancy was also featured on the Netflix’s
documentary series “Chef’s Table.”
