Where the stones are placed
The gilded stones are interspersed within the River Eden and becks around Kirkby Stephen and
Hartley and there is no particular order to their discovery. Below is a map highlighting the
approximate locations of the stones. However, due to the lively nature of the river, it is possible
that the stones will move, alter and degrade as time goes on. This is integral to the art work and
part of the discovery of the landscape.
