COMMUNITY NEWS
Island City Stage participates in PRIDE: In a groundbreaking move,
(that’s what some would call it) our staff and volunteers took an active
role in the Wilton Manors Pride Celebration for the first time in many
years. Our booth was brimming with Island City Stage information and
giveaways, and a dedicated team of volunteers was on hand to
distribute the materials. To capture attention and engage attendees,
we introduced drag queen cutouts at the booth, allowing participants
to have their photos taken in the guise of a drag queen. This unique
attraction turned out to be incredibly successful in drawing attention
and fostering engagement.
Pride volunteers include Ryan Shull, Bob Young,
Dan Katz, Dean Landhuis, Joel Carr, Harold Dioquino,
Martin Childers & Ric Wanetik.

Just one week later, the
theatre also participated in
the Family Pride Day at the
Museum of Discovery and
Science in Fort Lauderdale.
