Greetings from the President/CEO & Board Chair
Dear Friends,
Thank you for joining us to celebrate JCC@333, to honor Louis
Grossman, and to support our incredible camping programs and
the JCC.
This has been a challenging year for the Jewish people, and we are
incredibly grateful to be able to gather with you tonight. Building a
thriving, vibrant Jewish community globally and here in Boston
matters more every day, and we are proud and humbled to have
such a key role to play in that vital work.
There is no one better to be honoring tonight than Louis Grossman,
who is an exemplar of Jewish leadership, of Jewish joy, and of the kind
of menschlichkeit we should all seek to emulate. Louis has been a
mentor and friend to us, and it is a gift to have had the opportunity
to work and learn from him. Mazel tov, Louis, and thank you!
So too, is it fitting for us to highlight and celebrate our camping
programs! Jewish summer camp is a central pathway forward for
Jewish life in the next generation. It is the place where young people
learn about themselves, experience new things, grow in ways they
expect and that surprise them, and build friendships that last.
That growth, learning, exploration, and connection are at the heart
of the JCC’s amazing camping programs, and we know that the
joyful Jewish spirit that they imbue endures for a lifetime.
We are so proud of all the ways that the JCC meets its mission of
leading a vibrant and evolving Jewish community where everyone
belongs. Creating community is, by definition, a team effort, and
we are grateful to all of you for being a part of it. An extra and
heartfelt thank you to tonight's Co-Chairs, committees, and staff
who made this incredible evening possible. And thank you for
your generous support.
With sincerest gratitude,
Lily Rabinoff-Goldman
