Hello, my name is Kameron Walker and currently I attend Chapel Hill Senior High
School. I will be furthering my education at Norfolk State University in the fall,
majoring in Business with a concentration in management. I aspire to become
an entrepreneur, creating my own sports store/complex. I am thankful for the
opportunity to receive the NAACP scholarship as this scholarship will assist my family
and I with tuition assistance and fees, to include books and housing, thus allowing
me time to join and participate in campus-wide programs and organizations that
promote social justice, equity and human rights. By furthering my education at an
Historically Black Institution, it will afford me the opportunity to continue learning,
supporting and participating in organizations that enhance social justice everyday.

Hello! My name is Elvira Diouf. I am a senior at Carrboro High School! I will be
attending North Carolina Central University in the fall of 2021, where I plan to major
in public health. After graduation, I plan to attend graduate school to specialize in
epidemiology. The NAACP scholarship will help me by easing my financial burden,
which will allow me to focus more on the most important aspect of school: learning.
It will also help me to become more involved in activism by allowing me to be more
selective in how I spend my free time, which will be mainly spent volunteering with
activist groups like the NAACP, Living legends, and potential volunteer groups at
NCCU.
