ancestral and resonant voice brings forth the deeply rooted musical
traditions of her family with a youthful vibrancy that is ecstatic and
infectious. Her beaming smile invites participation as she teaches
Ayisyen drumming rhythms and phrases in Kreyòl (Creole) that

Doktor Kaboom: The Wheel of Science
October 19 • Thursday at 10:30am
DREYFOOS HALL
Performance Length: One hour
Recommended Grade Levels: 3-8
Suggested Curricula: Science, Theater
So much science, so little time. . . Doktor Kaboom is having trouble
picking his favorite science demonstrations, so he’s bringing them all!
Unfortunately, there are way too many to do them all in one show. The
solution: The Wheel of Science! Doktor Kaboom has built a great big
spinning wheel and labeled it with everything from optical illusions to
chemical reactions to a homemade hovercraft, and more! At least a
dozen fantastic demonstrations ready to go. Wherever the wheel stops,
that’s what’s next! Will we turn a water bottle into a rocket or catapult
bananas across the stage? Electrocute a pickle or create artificial
gravity? Who knows? No two shows will be the same.

Creatrilogy trio of award-winning picture books by New York Times
bestselling author Peter H. Reynolds- The Dot, Ish and Sky Color.
Adapted by Composers Keelay Gipson and Sam Salmond, the musical,
like the series, celebrates the power of originality, self-expression and
opening our eyes to look beyond the expected. When Marisol (Sky
Color), a young artist and curator of the Musée de Marisol, decides that
her gallery requires more than her own art, her search for emerging
talent leads her to Vashti (The Dot), whose dots inspire Ramon (Ish) to
become an artist in his own right.
