Fourth Week of Advent - LOVE
Sharing God’s Love with Others
A
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are both days
that are filled with love. There is plenty to share
with those you love during Advent. What if this
year, you also reached out to those who aren’t
surrounded by the love of family and friends?
Spend some time asking God how you can reach
out. Maybe you are being called to share God’s
love with a neighbor, or a relative or friend you
haven’t spoken to in a while. Maybe you could
write a letter to someone in prison, or help at a
food shelter during the week. Once you have a
person or activity in mind, plan ways to shower
that person with love as you remember the love
God showed us by sending Jesus.
s we light the last candle on the Advent
wreath, we prepare for the birth of Jesus and
reflect on the greatest commandment: to love
God and love our neighbor as ourselves. In this
final week of Advent, we are reminded of the
immense love that God has for us. He has shown
us this love by sending his only Son into the world
to bring about our salvation. We are called to
embody this love in our relationships and actions,
to dedicate ourselves to acts of kindness, forgiveness, and compassion. We can be instruments of
God’s love, spreading joy and encouraging unity
among all people.
