According to an INResearch study that tracked new assets for million-dollar revenue retail Firms, multidisciplined ensembles (two or more advisors, many focusing on different products or market segments)
grew assets by almost 20% from 2016 to 2017. Solo-run shops of the same size grew by only 4%. Their
conclusion is that consumers are drawn to the breadth of offerings, team of experts, coordination of
actions and future sustainability of this type of Firm. Lion Street believes that this trend will continue
well into the future and is best served by a platform of products, services and expertise extending far
beyond the limits of historical insurance and broker-dealer models.
Our formula is twofold, clear and simple: Help Firms who are all in with Lion Street and our Wealth
platforms grow their revenue across the spectrum. Having everything on one platform reduces conflicts,
gaps and inefficiencies for Firms. We work to unlock this advantage. In a year when the markets were
down, our Top 15 Firms had a 47% increase in GDC over 2018. Further, of Firms in the Top 15 with us
for at least 24 months, 80% grew ranging from 13% to 56% over 2018.

Key Drivers of Year-Over-Year Growth

Broker-Dealer: Lion Street Financial (LSF) is a custom broker-dealer exclusively designed and built for Lion Street Owners.
Within the integrated platform, we offer advisory services through our RIA, Lion Street Advisors (LSA).

Annuities: Reflecting the increased emphasis on annuities as important planning products for consumers, Lion Street’s
annuity franchise experienced outstanding results in 2018. Total annuity sales were $150 million, with VA’s accounting for
$85 million, driven by strong performance from Jackson National, Lincoln and others. Our fixed annuity Strategic Partner,
M3, contributed 70% growth over 2018 and has become a solid business partner for many of our Firms.

Partnerships: Lion Street finalized a strategic partnership with AssetMark, bringing firm building solutions and access to
world class investment management to our Owner Advisors and their clients.
