Never Go by Yourself to Meet the IRS
If your tax return is selected for examination or audit by
the IRS, you do not want to handle the audit alone. Hire a
professional to come with you to make sure your appeal
rights are maintained and that your rights in the
examination itself are not violated.

One thing that is very important to me is that you know
what your rights are before you communicate with the
IRS. Too many people do not know their rights and begin
speaking with the IRS without being made aware of what
their rights are.
