campus without worrying about transportation.
All of these activities can be enjoyed while not
having to worry about a “to do” list thanks to a
maintenance-free lifestyle.
You will also find yourself free from real estate
taxes and homeowner’s insurance. Think about
a recent home repair - even these small repairs
can cost more than expected, and the big ticket
items such as roof, windows, and major appliances
are all unpredictable. Even the landscaping can
be an expense. Residents often share that they
also appreciate not having to find a handyman or a
reliable business that can take care of home repairs.
Many of these expenses can add up over time,
and residents at Messiah Village share that they
are not only living a more stress-free life, they
are pleasantly surprised about the affordability.
Wonderful new friendships, more engaged
lifestyles, and purpose-filled living through
volunteer opportunities offered on campus all
add up to a strong appreciation of the value of
living in a community.
There is also value in knowing the security of
having health care available should the need
arise. Many homes are not currently designed to
easily age in place. Knowing that a continuum of
care is available can lessen anxiety about aging.
We invite you to explore the value of retirement
living at the upcoming Digging Deeper event.
During the event, we will explore common
questions about senior living options, debunk
myths, and offer a peek into understanding the
real value of moving to a retirement community.
Maybe 2020 is the year to begin planning for
the future and exploring new options!
