If you’re dating seriously, explicitly talk about your physical
relationship, commit your thoughts to God in prayer, and set
your standards and live by them.

Any further physical intimacy should be reserved for an older
age (twenty or older), after engagement or serious declarations
of the intent to get engaged.

Even in engagement, direct touching of the genitals of either
person is sexual intimacy of which God would likely not
approve and that you could later regret.
Our goal in this chapter has been to empower you to think over
and make a decision about what you will and will not do before you
even start developing a close relationship with another person. We
urge you to be careful with the precious gift of your sexual body and
decide on your standards now.
I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse.
Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live,
loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast
to him.
DEUTERONOMY 30:19-20
STANDING YOUR GROUND
You will experience pressure to go beyond your limits—even pressure to go “all the way.” Handling pressure starts with deciding what
you will and will not do. Decide now whether or not you’ll have sex
before you’re married. Before you ever begin a romantic relationship, be confident about what level of sexual intimacy you will allow
when dating. Don’t wait until you’re out on a date or at someone’s
house to decide. Talk with God about your decision. After you make
a decision, tell God, your parents, and a Christian friend about that
