FROM REAL TO REEL
Change will not come if we wait for others.
We are the ones we are waiting for.
We are the change we seek for.
- Barack Obama
It might come forcefully like a tidal wave or creep along incrementally like a glacier. It might
come in the form of devastating tragedy, difficult choices or even new opportunities. A change
is never an understatement. Growing and changing isn’t easy and transformation never is. The
world is in the process of undergoing the most radical transformation that one has ever seen.
It’s true that being challenged in life in inevitable and we have woken up to the fierce urgency
of the now.
Accomplishing anything great in life requires us to make significant changes that push us
beyond our comfort zones. Needless to say, COVID 19 has transformed the centuries-old,
chalk–talk teaching model to one driven by technology. The need of the hour was to develop
a well-rounded and effective educational practice for the capacity-building of young minds.
To keep the process of learning going is our priority as it would help them to develop skills
that will drive their productivity, health and well-being in the decades to come ensuring their
all-round development.
Facing challenges is a way to push ourselves and see what we are capable of. If a revolution
is seen in the immediate present, it is in the field of education. Surging forward with its motto
‘Together Towards Tomorrow’, K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II stands tall envisioning
its goals. The school has become one of the pioneer educational institution ushering the change
and paving its own path and reaching a new high each day. Nine months of these testing
circumstances due to impromptu closure, we have embarked into the journey from ‘Real to
Reel’, the online learning platform which is indeed a blessing in disguise. The Online classes
have helped the learners to move forward in the learning process, focusing their energy on
building the new. From virtual platform Zoom to MS Teams, the school is leaving no stone
unturned in the achieving the purpose of education i.e. to hone the skills of both the teacher
and the taught.
