with a folk-style performance
highlighting key aspects in Florida
history. This all-ages show features
original songs and stories that
cover a wealth of Florida history,
characters and folklore.

Sean Gaskell will perform on
the Kora, an ancient 21-stringed
harp from West Africa. Gaskell’s
performances will feature
traditional songs that are the heart
and soul of the Kora’s musical
repertoire, in addition to some of
his own personal compositions.
Gaskell has mesmerized audiences
across the U.S., The Gambia and
Senegal with his heartrending
performances. Gaskell studied
the Kora under the instruction of
Malamini Jobarteh and Moriba
Kuyateh throughout multiple visits
to Brikama, The Gambia.
