Evaluate symptoms and help you
identify child victims of trauma
Children who have experienced horrible
events—things like physical and sexual
abuse, witnessing a violent act, and
living through a natural disaster—are
at real risk of having lasting emotional
scars. Your heart aches when you see
symptoms like fear, sleep disturbances,
anxiety, and depression, and you
know it could be just the beginning.
Left untreated, the effects of trauma
can lead to behavior problems at
home and in school, poor school
performance, and even poor
odds for a successful future.
Evaluating the effects of trauma and
intervening as soon as possible is pivotal
to ensuring your students’ long-term
emotional health and stability.
TSCC
The TSCC is a 54-item self-report rating
scale for children ages 8-16 years that
evaluates symptoms such as anxiety,
anger, depression, and sexual concerns
following an unspecified traumatic
event. An alternate form, the TSCC-A,
makes no reference
to sexual issues.
TSCYC
Like the TSCC, the
TSCYC evaluates symptomatology in children
who have experienced
an unspecified
