Assess validity of reported symptoms
You want your diagnoses to be accurate.
However, if clients or patients deliberately

be fabricating or embellishing symptoms
of illness or disability, giving you more
confidence in your diagnosis. A computerized test that takes just 30 minutes, it uses

the respondent’s number of correct versus
incorrect responses, the VSVT calculates
a probability value to classify symptoms
as valid, questionable, or invalid.
