FAR™
Feifer Assessment of Reading™
Steven G. Feifer, DEd
Help develop strong,
confident readers
Discover why students have
difficulty reading
Teachers know when students have
difficulty reading—and when they feel
anxious or lose confidence around their
peers because of it. They watch those
students struggle and do what they can
to help. Eventually, they turn to you.
How can you help if you don’t know what’s
wrong? You have a variety of reading tests
at your disposal—but you don’t need a
test that tells you your student has trouble
reading. You need one that tells you why.
The FAR uses a brain-based approach
to identify why students have difficulty
with reading. It doesn’t just indicate
if a student may have a condition like
dyslexia—it also determines the likely
specific subtype. You can even isolate
and measure skills and errors at the
item level to get an in-depth look at
reading-related behaviors and create
tailored reading strategies that will
give your students confidence and get
their performance back on track.
