UNIFORMS ARE AN
IMPORTANT PART OF
ACHIEVING EXCELLENCE
PowerSchool Access
PowerSchool will continue to be an important tool for parent/
teacher/school information and communication. Your existing
Jackson Catholic Schools (“myjacs”) parent portal account will remain
active as you transition to Grade 7 and Lumen Christi. For Grades
7-12, parents access the PowerSchool Parent Portal page by visiting
our LC website. Look for ‘PowerSchool’ in our Quicklinks.
To login to your student’s account, use your same parent portal user
ID login (account access) used at the elementary school. Students will
receive their list of selected courses for the upcoming school year in
early June via school messenger.
At the Packet Pick Up scheduled for Wednesday, August 11, students
will receive their preliminary schedule of classes (class periods assigned
during the school day). Students are provided their PowerSchool
account access with their Preliminary schedule at Packet Pick Up.
AUGUST 11TH IS
PACKET PICK UP!
Grades 9-12 students pick up their personalized download
instructions for all digital textbooks and applications with
guidance from our staff – and it is a big day for pickup of
uniform orders purchased on the June 15th Fit Day. The Fan
Shop is open – where “Go Green” is served up in buckets of
goodwill for another year of championships.

TUESDAY, JUNE 15TH
Packet Pick Up is a day filled with incredible energy and
renewal. It is our kick-off to the school year through a
celebration of family and students and our commitment to
achieve excellence and welcoming you! The Pick up shouts
our commitment to excellence in academics, and it speaks to
our stronghold to Christ living His Light in all that we do. As
we greet the school year and you, we once again connect to
each other, sharing the excitement that the “first day back”
always brings. It is an important day for all of us. The school
collects important information on each student for records/
communications. Parents receive their student’s Preliminary
Schedule. Workbooks are purchased and class fees and
classroom textbook rental fees are paid at Packet Pick Up.

A message from Lumen Christi Chaplain Fr. Brian Lenz.
We are a family of faith and we begin with the belief that everyone who walks into our school
has been created for an eternal destiny with God. That’s a powerful guiding principle, and
by knowing the truth about who we educate, we’re able to know more clearly the truth about
why we educate and how we educate. The daily mission of our faculty and staff is to form
our students according to the whole person: in the ways of faith, of knowledge, and of skills,
so that by growing spiritually, intellectually, and socially, they are empowered to change the
world for Christ. We strive for excellence in all we do. We commit students and ourselves to
high expectations because we know the dignity we’ve been given as sons and daughters of
God.
As a Catholic school, our students have the freedom to learn in an environment that begins
each day with prayer, that proclaims Jesus as our highest teacher and model, and that speaks
the truth about human experience without undue constraint or pressure. We offer classes,
retreats, Sacraments, and service opportunities for our students to explore and deepen their
own life of faith. We have a full-time priest chaplain dedicated to the daily service of our
students, faculty, and staff. And we are blessed that our school families, our alumni, and our
larger community all partner with us to help raise up a generation of men and women who are
a light of hope for all to see.

MORE ABOUT
LUMEN CHRISTI
AT OUR OPEN HOUSE
On Wednesday, March 3rd
This event is critical for new families, as we grow our enrollment, our programs, and our
curriculum. We invite rising Grade 7 students (current 6th graders) and any interested 7th
through 10th grade students, who are not currently enrolled at Lumen Christi, and their
families to join us to gain comfort with our environment and learn more about transitioning to
be a Titan with confidence. Learn more about how we achieve personal success and celebrate
our students at Lumen Christi. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will include multiple
breakout sessions. Our sessions will provide information about our top academics, faith, and
character development, championship athletics and extensive clubs and activities. Families
will have the option to attend only those sessions in which they are most interested.
The event will conclude at 7:30 p.m.
This is an opportunity to experience the Mission
that has transformed young men and women into
Titans for over 50 years.
