GO TITANS!
DIFFERENCE
A Field of Athletics to Join
Mr. Jesse Brown
Athletic Director
jbrown@myjacs.org
At Lumen Christi, we offer a broad spectrum of
sports for both the middle school and high school
students. Currently, we have 8 middle school
sports and 24 varsity sports for students to grow
physically and socially. We encourage students
to participate so that they have the opportunity
to learn how to develop character, become strong
student leaders, and work in a team environment
while building strong relationships with teammates
and coaches.
CURIOUS ABOUT LUMEN CHRISTI?
If you have a friend who does not currently attend a Jackson Catholic School, invite them to a Witness the Difference Informational Tour and the
February Open House! Your friends can get the inside story regarding Lumen Christi — from curriculum to catechism to extracurricular — and
its impact on more than 10,000 students and their families in our 50 year history. This presentation is free, open to the public, and guaranteed to
provide new information about Lumen Christi Catholic School. All are welcome.
For dates and to register, please go to https://jacksoncatholicschools.org/experience-the-jcs-difference/.
How does a student get involved
once enrolled? Sports tryouts are posted in the
weekly Principal Newsletter, on our Lumen
Christi Catholic School Facebook page, and
on the athletic webpage Lctitans.org
FRIENDS CAN BE A TITAN FOR A DAY
AND SHADOW A LUMEN CHRISTI STUDENT.
Following participation in a 2022 Informational Tour, prospective students from outside Jackson Catholic Schools have the opportunity to
participate in our Titan for a Day program to see what being a Lumen Christi Titan is all about. Each prospective student is matched with a
current Lumen Christi student, whom he or she will shadow for either half a day or a full day. Learn firsthand about our school, programs, and
our curriculum. Attend classes while also having the opportunity to meet and ask questions of current students, faculty, and staff. Find out for
yourself what makes Lumen Christi special! Titan For a Day Dates: Tuesday, February 8th, Tuesday, March 8th, Tuesday, April 12th, Tuesday, May 10th. If you have questions, please email the Director of Enrollment Management, Lucian Leone, at lleone@myjacs.org.
To register, please go to https://jacksoncatholicschools.org/experience-the-jcs-difference/.

Achieve Excellence
• For the Class of 2021, the average ACT score was 21.4. This compares to an
average score of 19 across the county in 2019 (the last year students across the
county were required to take the exam). The highest score by any other high school
in Jackson County from 2019 was a 20. These two points of difference represents 2
additional years of learning, based on ACT’s growth model.
•
In the last three years, an average of 98% of graduates are attending a 2 or 4 year
college or are in the military.
•
In the last three years, our students had a 78% college acceptance rate. 42% of
juniors and seniors are earning early college credit through our partnerships with
Spring Arbor University, Baker College, and Jackson College. Students are also
able to earn college credit by successfully completing Advanced Placement classes.
•
Our 65 20-21 graduates were awarded over $5 million in college scholarships (an
average of $78,000 per student), and accepted, on average, $26,000 in scholarships.
A Comprehensive Curriculum
• We offer 4 years of Spanish, French, and German. We require a 4th year math
of Trig/Pre-Calc, Calculus or Statistics. We require all students to take Biology,
Chemistry and Physics. All students are prepared with a rigorous, college-ready
curriculum for whatever their next step in life is going to be.
A Community of Outstanding Teachers
• Our Faculty to Student Ratio is 9:1. 66% of Faculty have a Master’s Degree or
higher. They average 15 years of teaching experience and are committed to the
academic, spiritual, and social growth of each student, and strive to create a learning
community in their classes.
Develop Character and Promote Teamwork
• Our 24 Varsity Teams have won 50 state championships in 53 years of enrollment.
100% of our students participate in extra-curricular activities. This includes
everything from band, to our nationally recognized Choir, Youth Group, Right to
Life, Entrepreneurship and athletics. Our CEO challenge Team won the $10,000
grand prize. Our goal is to create a culture that is not only academically outstanding,
but supports students in experiencing how teamwork, discipline and personal
responsibility are the building blocks for success in life.
Living Faith
• We want our students to go out and change the world for Christ. 100% of our
students participate in day or overnight retreats in order to give them an opportunity
to grow in their faith, to become their best selves. Each year our students contribute
over 4,000 service hours to the Jackson community.
