MLS NEXT ACADEMY, Elite Clubs
National League & Elite 64
Our most skilled teams for boys and girls ages
U13 and older compete in the MLS NEXT
Academy and the Southwest Conference of the
Elite Clubs National League (ECNL). These
teams are selected and trained by our
professional coaching staff and will also play in
regional and national college showcase
tournaments based on each team’s ability to
qualify for these elite tournaments. The girls
program also participates in Elite Clubs
Regional League (ECRL). This year we were
awarded membership with Elite 64, including
us within the sixty-four leading clubs in the
nation. This opportunity provides additional
experiences for our boys and girls players, who
will be selected from our six regions after
competitive teams are formed.
High school aged players, and their families,
will be provided guidance through their coach
and PRFCYS’ College Advisory Program in the
best ways to contact college coaches and how
to assess college opportunities for each player.
Tryouts
PRFCYS holds tryouts for its competitive teams
in early May and June for the following season.
Age group head coaches select all teams with
the assistance of our professional coaching
staff where appropriate. Team coaching
assignments will be made by the Director of
Coaching and announced during tryouts.
BYGA
BYGA is our software partner for all
registration processes, legal forms paperwork
collection, and fee collection for Registration
Fees and Club Fees. Each family will have an
account for their children’s participation. BYGA
also serves as a communication tool.
Team Commitments
PRFCYS team coaches will contact all players
selected for competitive teams following
tryouts. Families should be prepared to commit
to the team they have been selected for at this
time. Once teams have been formed, PRFCYS
traditionally breaks for the summer in mid-June
through July after which team training will
resume.
Team meetings will be conducted during June,
July, and August. At this time families will
receive the following information:
• Introduction to the team coach and team
manager
• Training Schedule
• Team Roster and contact information
• Fee Schedule for Team Fees (tournaments,
travel, team expenses, etc.)
