Elementary Music Planning Guide (2015 TEKS Edition)
Written to be your constant companion when planning effective instruction, this guide will
serve teachers from any tradition. Discreet learning standards have been pulled from the TEKS,
and presented in both grade level and skill ladder format. Each standard includes a kid-tested
“I can statements”, and the TEKS are rigorously referenced throughout. In addition, you’ll find a
handy 1-page overview, a complete vocabulary and symbol list, a K-5 Prepare-Present-Practice
literacy plan, and a rubric for grading performances. New and veteran teachers alike will find
themselves flipping through the pages of this guide for years. EMPG
