LICENSING
Hunting and recreational fishing E-license may be purchased at
la-web.s3licensing.com
The E-license can be printed using a personal printer for immediate use or saved
to an electronic device which is kept in possession while hunting. Methods of
payment are Visa, MasterCard, & Discover.
A convenience fee is assessed. Customers wanting a license on durable,
waterproof paper can still visit any license vendors.
LICENSE EXCEPTIONS & EXEMPTIONS
The following recreational fishermen and hunters are not required to obtain a basic recreational fishing license, saltwater license, basic hunting license, big game license or migratory waterfowl conservation license, but must have proof of age in their possession whenever fishing or hunting:
1. Residents who were born prior to June 1, 1940.
2. Residents and non-residents younger than 16 years of age.
MILITARY
Military licenses are valid only during that
time when the licensee is on active duty
in the armed forces of the United States.
Any resident or nonresident who possesses
a military identification card that signifies
that he or she is currently on active duty
with any branch of the armed forces of the
United States, including the National
Guard, or the spouse or dependent of such
person, may be issued a license for hunting
or recreational fishing in Louisiana for the
same fee as that required of Louisiana residents. The military identification card or
dependent card and the appropriate
license must be on the licensee’s person at
all times when he is engaged in hunting
and fishing activities.
Any Louisiana resident who submits proof
of his or her status as an active member of
the Louisiana National Guard or any reserve
component of the United States armed
forces, though not currently on active duty,
may purchase in lieu of Basic and Saltwater
Fishing, Basic Hunting, Big Game, Bow,
Primitive Firearms, LA. Duck, Turkey Stamp
and WMA Hunting Permit, a license for

$50.00 to fish and hunt in Louisiana. Submit
completed application with a copy of the
applicant’s:
1. Louisiana Driver’s license,
2. Military identification card,
3. Original letter from their commanding
officer verifying that they are in “good
standing” with the Louisiana National
Guard or United States Armed Forces
and
4. Check, Cashier’s Check or Money
order made payable to LDWF for $50.

Resident veterans having a permanent
service-connected disability classification
of 50 percent or more and residents who
are blind, paraplegic or multiple amputee
shall upon identification and proof of disability satisfactory to LDWF, be issued
sports hunting license without the payment of any fees thereof. Contact Sports
License at 225-765-2887 for required
forms.
