Why I give to River Edge?
Rosalind “Roz” McMillan, MPH, MBA
Rosalind “Roz” McMillan, MPH, MBA actively serves as a governing board member of River Edge Behavioral
Health Community Service Board. Roz faithfully donates to River Edge Foundation.
Roz explains the investments of her time and treasure this way, “I believe it is vital to illuminate the
importance of mental health and help remove the shroud of secrecy and shame too often associated with
mental illness, addiction and other behavioral health issues. Countering pervasive stigma is critical."
She continues, “People need to know that River Edge is a major and vital community resource committed to
making life better for persons with mental health conditions, addiction and developmental disabilities. The
staff of River Edge demonstrate the highest professionalism in providing skilled, empathic and culturally
sensitive care to each and every person served. I am a strong advocate of access to care and look for an
organization’s demonstrated commitment to providing services which are geographically and financially
accessible to individuals in need within their service area. River Edge is this kind of organization."
When asked about her decision to consistently contribute to River Edge Foundation, Roz lays out her logic
this way, “I believe every Board member should demonstrate his or her commitment to the work of that
organization by making a monetary contribution as well as actively sharing their talents."
Roz brings her MPH/MBA training and more than 30 years’ experience in healthcare delivery and
administration to her efforts to support and strengthen River Edge operations. Also, as she works on behalf
of River Edge, Roz draws from her vast experience working in the community and her board and volunteer
services on behalf of the Boys and Girls Club of Central Georgia, Daybreak Day Resource Center, and First
Choice Primary Care.
The individuals served by River Edge benefit greatly because of Roz McMillan’s generosity. Thank you, Roz,
for your gifts of time, talent and treasure to help make life better!
