Meet the Board - Jessica Stevens, PhD
I chose to invest my time as a member of River Edge
Foundation Board of Trustees because I strongly believe River
Edge and it's supporters play a vital role in the overall health
and well-being of our community.
Mental health is one of the most underestimated pillars that
affect the foundation of so many facets of everyday life and
success at a community, family, and individual level.
The work the Board and organization are doing that I am
proudest of is working to “un-mask” and de-stigmatize mental
health, addiction recovery, and intellectual and
developmental disabilities.
If it’s not you, it’s someone you love.
These issues affect all of us.
We are a vibrant, diverse community full of leadership and
advocacy. Therefore, I know we can work together to share
resources and success stories that offer hope, inspiration, and
compassion to those who need it most.
What I would like people to know about River Edge:
We are internationally accredited leaders providing stateof-the-art, evidence-based, effective prevention, treatment
and support for mental health and substance-use disorder
recovery, as well as inclusion for individuals with
intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We’ve operated for 75 years-- three quarters of a century!
We serve more than 10,000 Georgians annually.
This is a meaningful, long-term impact on us, our friends,
family and neighbors with whom we live and work daily.
I am sincerely humbled, honored, and grateful for the
privilege to serve on the River Edge Foundation Board. I am
excited to educate the public about how much River Edge
offers our community and support the mission and goals in
every way I can.
The work of River Edge offers meaningful, positive, and
long- term impact daily.
