Leadership Letter
Hello friends,
Most would consider it so silly to think a computer fully functional if the central processing unit was not working
properly. Yet, for years, many Americans have considered mental health somehow separate from the rest of the
body.
Science tells us that our thinking and emotions are brain responses to various types of stimuli. Therefore, aren’t
you so glad that people are beginning to recognize that mental health challenges are biologically-based brain
conditions that respond well to research-proven treatment? I know I am!
Through this issue, we at River Edge want to reinforce that there is no health without mental health, that
Mental Health is Health.
Look inside for tips to live with mental well-being.
Look inside for living proof stories of people who are in full recovery from really challenging mental health
diagnoses.
Look inside to see the numbers of people who - because of your support - are being offered a new doorway
to recovery and a restored life.
Thank you for your partnership. Thank you for your support.
YOU help make life better, and we are grateful.
