EXPANSION
“We finalized the acquisition on May 29, 2020, and
it has been full speed ahead ever since”, commented Burress. “The successful merger of two great employee teams is a testament to both having excellent
reputations for working hard, dedicated customer
service, and a strong commitment to community
support. At River Valley Cooperative, it’s our mission
to be the premier provider of agricultural products
and services to businesses and individuals within
our markets. Without a great employee team, this
goal would be impossible to meet.”
Tim also commented, “River Valley Cooperative
appreciates the opportunity to continue serving
former Michlig Grain customers as well as new customers, and invite them to become members and
enjoy the benefits of a cooperative business model.
Our 2,800 member-owners have been paid back
over $35M of cash patronage and deferred equity
over the past ten years as a result of doing business
with River Valley Cooperative, which is something
that makes us very proud.
Burress concluded, “We sincerely thank all of our
member-owners and customers for their business
and especially their trust in our organization. We
look forward to growing together, and we wish
everyone a safe and healthy harvest.”
Burress credits the successful transition to
shared culture and values:
