DAY Five: December 02 - Friday
Pa ence is a virtue and a fruit of the Spirit (Gala ans 5:22) because, as
disciples of Jesus, we believe that the promises of God will one day
come true. We believe that God is working in our world and some mes
in ways we do not see, but we believe He is and so we wait…pa ently
for what is coming. Corrie Ten Boom writes: “Never be afraid to trust
an unknown future to a known God.”
And be pa ent.
❅FOR CONTEMPLATION:
Romans 5:1-5 (esp. verse 5)
❅FOR REFLECTION:
How does God create in His people a hope that doesn’t
disappoint?
In terms of our faith and life with God, what is impa ence a
sign of? Is that a danger, and if so, a danger of what?
❅FOR PRAYER (ONE-MINUTE):
“Father, ll my heart with hope. The world steals hope and
leaves us at mes hopeless. But our hope is steadfastly rooted
in You and Your promises.” (pause)
“I surrender to You all my impa ence with people,
circumstances and even with You.” (pause)
