Christmas is about hope because Christmas is about a birth. It is the
birth of Jesus—the Son of God—who “comes to make His blessings
ow far as the curse is found, far as the curse is found…” He is the
Messiah, the Christ of whom much good was an cipated but so greatly
underes mated and under imagined.
This year we emerged from a
pandemic weary world to a

economic recession, fears,

That’s the focus for the next month. We will enter each day with a
devo onal thought, a reading of Scripture, contempla ve ques ons to
re ect on throughout the day and a one-minute pause for prayer as we
have prac ced this en re year on the weekly *MPG. These daily
exercises are inten onally short in order to go slowly through them.
Take your me. Do not hurry. Let them frame each day as we live our
lives as disciples of Jesus.
May God con nue to bless us all in the coming days and rekindle joy in
our hearts.
