Adjust the Rotational Positioning of the Shuttle Race Guide Shaft
1. Rotate the balance wheel until the needle enters the
shuttle (74).
5. Once you've confirmed correct positioning, tighten the
compressible timing clamp screw (E).
2. With left hand, grab the shuttle race guide shaft (D) so
the left-right positioning doesn't change (p. 49).
6. Finally, confirm p. 50, 70 has not shifted.
3. With right hand, loosen the clamp screw (E) slightly.
NOTE: The clamp should be tight enough to keep
the shuttle race guide shaft from moving too freely.
Incremental loosening works best.
You have now completed timing your Ultrafeed.
4. Adjust the shuttle race guide shaft (D) so that the
needle is positioned correctly within the retaining ring
cap spring (A).
